Faith Informed Practice: The Newsletter of the CEC Faith-Based Schools & Organizations Caucus
Mission: The mission of Faith Informed Practice is to publish high quality, peer reviewed work from faith-based practitioners, Special Education teacher candidates, and higher education faculty. The newsletter aims to support current practitioners and teacher educators through the publication of manuscripts focusing on best practices in Special Education, as well as those with a focus on the integration of faith and teaching.
Scope: Faith Informed Practice publishes manuscripts in the following categories:
Original research studies - no more than 25 pages in length
Literature reviews - no more than 25 pages in length
Practitioner-focused articles that are include solid research support for the described interventions - no more than 15 pages in length
Theoretical papers, specifically those with a focus on the integration of faith and careers in Education - no more than 15 pages in length
Book reviews, specifically reviews of books on best practices in Special Education, books focusing on faith-informed teaching, and books written by caucus members - no more than 5 pages in length
Articles should follow APA 6th edition guidelines and follow the page limits listed, including references. Articles should be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Faith Informed Practice Article Submission” in the subject line. All submissions should have a faith integration component.
Peer Review Process: Faith Informed Practice uses a double blind peer review process to evaluate the appropriateness of submitted manuscripts for publication. The peer review process will take 2-3 months from the time of submission.
